International Students Experience Plants Dyeing
Recently, the College of International Education provided a 4-day natural dyeing course to enrich the campus life of international students who had not been able to return home for almost two years due to the COVID-19 epidemic. Fifteen international students from Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh and other countries have participated in the course.
Ms. Li Jiahui, a plant dyeing designer, was invited to teach the basic knowledge and techniques of natural plants dyeing. Under the guidance of Ms. Li, the students used plant roots, stems, flowers, leaves, fruits, and other dry materials as dyes to learn dye solution extraction, natural detergents and Enzyme preparation, and to make plants dyeing artworks.
