Research Results of NJFU Published in Global Change Biology

Recently, Professor Ruan Honghua's team from the School of Ecology and Environment at our university, in collaboration with multiple research institutions both domestically and internationally, published a research paper titled "Earthworms Enhance Global Soil Carbon Storage Through MicrobialMineral Stabilization" in the internationally authoritative journal in the field of global change, Global Change Biology (impact factor 12.1, top 5 in the first quartile). Our university is the first completing institution, and Li Yuanyuan, a doctoral graduate from the School of Ecology and Environment, and Liao Jiahui, a postdoctoral researcher, are co-first authors. Professor Ruan Honghua, Professor Han Y. H. Chen from Lakehead University in Canada, and Zou Xiaoming, a researcher at the Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences and adjunct professor at our university, are co-corresponding authors of the paper. The research was supported by projects such as the National Key Research and Development Program of China (2021YFD2200403, 2023YFD2200404) and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 32101339, 32071594, 32071832).
