A delegation from the University of New Brunswick Visited NJFU
On April 29, Prof. John Kershaw, Vice President of the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and Prof. Michelle Gray, Dean of the School of Forestry and Environmental Management visited NJFU. Vice President Yin Tongming attended the meeting.
In his speech, Prof. Yin warmly welcomed Vice President John Kershaw and his delegation, and expressed gratitude for UNB’s support to the cooperation and exchange between the two universities. He pointed out that UNB and NJFU had achieved remarkable results in the joint training of undergraduates and postgraduates. He hoped to further deepen the cooperation and exchanges between the two universities in the future, create a new platform for joint training of students, and expand a new channel for academic exchanges between teachers and students.
John Kershaw introduced UNB. He said that he was very happy to visit NJFU for the fifth time and expressed his appreciation for the excellent performance of NJFU students during their study at UNB. He was full of expectations for the continued deepening of cooperation between the two universities, and hoped that the two sides would further strengthen academic research and educational exchanges, jointly carry out project cooperation, and enhance the effectiveness of scientific and technological innovation and personnel training.
At the meeting, the two sides had in-depth exchanges on the renewal of the cooperation agreement and the implementation of the joint forestry ecology course.
The cooperation between NJFU and UNB began in 2014. In 2016, a 3+1+1 joint training cooperation agreement was signed. So far, more than 50 students of NJFU have been sent to UNB.
