A Delegation of Saint-Petersburg State Forest Technical University Visited NJFU
On the morning of December 11, a delegation led by Alexander Dobrovolskii, Vice President of Saint-Petersburg State Forest Technical University, Russia, visited NJFU. Vice President Yin Tongming attended the meeting and delivered a speech.
In his speech, Prof. Yin extended a warm welcome to the delegation, and briefly introduced NJFU. He said that NJFU regarded international development as one of its core strategies, and had always been committed to establishing deeper ties and cooperation with global partners. He hoped to take this visit as an opportunity to further deepen the understanding following the signing of the framework agreement between the two sides in May 2018, and strengthen cooperation in the areas of visiting young teachers, training high-level talents, and joint application for international projects.
Alexander Dobrovolskii expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highly affirmed the academic achievements and academic reputation of NJFU. Ms. Svetlana Tereshchenko, head of international affairs, introduced the disciplines, scientific research and other aspects of the university. Ms. Marina Kovalenko, head of the Industrial Process and Technology Decision Development Group, introduced the transformation projects of scientific and technological achievements of forest products and chemical industry, and expressed a strong desire for cooperation.
Founded in 1803 and formerly known as Leningrad Forestry College, Saint-Petersburg State Forest Technical University is one of the oldest forestry universities in the world and is the only forestry university in Russia with a modern forest laboratory experimental base, occupying a leading position in the field of forestry higher education in Russia.
