The Delegation of UBC Visited NJFU
On February 15-16, Prof. Rehan Sadiq, Vice President of the University of British Columbia (UBC), and Prof. Wang Guangyu, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Forestry, visited NJFU.
Prof. Yong Qiang, President of NJFU, met with the delegation and Vice President Yin Tongming presided over meeting. Prof. Yong Qiang extended a warm welcome to Vice President Rehan Sadiq and his delegation, and briefly introduced the history, discipline characteristics and internationalization development strategy of NJFU. He said that UBC was one of the world's top research universities and had long established good exchanges and cooperation with NJFU in the fields of personnel training, scientific research, and faculty exchanges. He hoped that the two sides would take this visit as an opportunity to further expand cooperation areas and enrich cooperation modes.
Rehan Sadiq spoke highly of NJFU's achievements in personnel training, scientific research and international cooperation. He pointed out that UBC attached great importance to the cooperation with NJFU and was willing to further work together to explore more flexible cooperation models, especially in the joint training of students, promoting the construction of joint scientific research platforms, etc.
An inter-university cooperation memorandum was signed in the meeting, laying a good foundation for the future cooperation between the two universities.
On the morning of the 16th, Rehan Sadiq and his delegation had a discussion with the deans of some colleges and departments of NJFU, and Vice President Yin Tongming attended the meeting.
