Research Results of NJFU Published in ‘Ecology’
Recently, Professor Mao Lingfeng's research group on "Biodiversity and Ecological Protection" from the School of Ecology and Environment at our university published a research paper titled "Community history modifications how plant diversity shapes beta multifunctionality" in the flagship ecological journal "Ecology" (paper link: https://doi.org/10.1002/ecy.70575 ). The doctoral student He Yan in the research group is the first author of the paper, the doctoral student Yang Rui is a co-author, and Professor Mao Lingfeng is the corresponding author. The study proposed a variance based β - multifunctionality quantification and contribution decomposition framework, which analyzes functional differences between communities from the perspectives of plot and ecosystem functions, and reveals that the relationship between plant diversity and spatial functional heterogeneity is regulated by community history.
