2023 IUFRO International Symposium on Pine Wilt Disease Successfully Held in NJFU
2023 IUFRO International Symposium on Pine Wilt Disease was successfully held in NJFU from Oct. 26-27. More than 350 experts, scholars and graduate students from 17 countries participated in the conference.
The two-day academic exchange presented a total of 8 invited reports, 27 general assembly reports and 14 youth academic salon reports. Luis Filipe Prazeres Bonifacio, Director of the Pine Wilt Disease Committee of the International Union of Forestry Research Organizations (IUFRO), Shiroma Sathyapala, Forest Protection and Health Officer of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), Prof. Ye Jianren of NJFU, Hyerim Han from the National Institute of Forest Science of the Republic of Korea, Shrioma Sathyapala, Forest Protection and Health Officer of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and Zhang Xingyao, Chief scientist of the Chinese Academy of Forestry, gave special reports on the prevention and control of pine wilt disease and research progress.
The conference was guided by IUFRO, Chinese Society of Forestry and International Society of Zoological Science and hosted by NJFU, Chinese Academy of Forestry, Institute of Zoology of Chinese Academy of Sciences and Hebei University.
