Research Results of NJFU Published in ‘Advanced Functional Materials’
Recently, a paper entitled “Expand and Sensitize: Guanidine-Functionalized Exopolysaccharide Nanoparticles Cause Bacterial Cell Expansion and Antibiotic Sensitization” has been published in the top international journal ‘Advanced Functional Materials’ https://doi.org/10.1002/adfm.202305977), in which a new antibacterial and anti-biofilm material based on microbial natural nano-polysaccharides was developed, and an unconventional antibacterial mechanism was proposed to provide a new idea for the design of unconventional antibacterial materials/strategies. NFJU was the first completion unit. Associate Prof. Li Chengcheng was the first author. Prof. Xiao Huining and Prof. Wu Fugen of Southeast University were the co-corresponding authors. The achievement was funded by the Youth Project of Natural Science Foundation of China and the Youth Project of Jiangsu Provincial Natural Science Foundation.
