Introduction to Zhilin International College


Nanjing Forestry University Zhilin International College is a non independent legal entity Sino foreign cooperative education institution established with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It is jointly founded by Nanjing Forestry University, a national "Double First Class" construction university and a Class A construction university under the Jiangsu High Level University Peak Plan, and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), a top public research university in Malaysia. The National University of Malaysia is one of the top public research universities in Malaysia and Asia, ranking 126th in the 2026 QS World University Rankings and 26th in the Asian University Rankings. Zhilin International College relies on the highly complementary disciplinary advantages and characteristics of the two schools, adheres to advanced international education and teaching concepts, and through mechanisms such as joint faculty, joint training, and joint management, aims to cultivate compound high-level talents with patriotism, global vision, innovative spirit, and international rule awareness.

The college is located at the Xinzhuang Campus of Nanjing Forestry University, with a planned enrollment of 1000 students. It offers four undergraduate majors: Ecology (major code: 071004H), Internet of Things Engineering (major code: 080905H), Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation (major code: 080202H), and Polymer Materials and Engineering (major code: 080407H). The program lasts for 4 years and adopts the "4+0" local international training mode. Students complete their studies at Nanjing Forestry University without leaving the country to enjoy high-quality international educational resources. By completing the jointly formulated training program and meeting the degree granting conditions, one can obtain the graduation certificate and degree certificate from Nanjing Forestry University, as well as the corresponding degree certificate from the National University of Malaysia.
